HOPEWELL INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT SITE
CLIENT: WALES MCLELLAND GENERAL CONTRACTORS
STAGE: COMPLETE
DESIGN WITH: JONATHAN LOSEE LTD.
LOCATION: SURREY, BC
A perfect illustration of how functional and technical goals can lead to beautiful design, we helped transform this industrial site through 100% net-zero green infrastructure interventions. Working closely with landscapers, we stabilized a steep slope to minimize erosion with an intentional blend of native and non-native plants. Biofiltration swales double as water management infrastructure and visual features to complement the site’s abundant and generous planting design. This plan also supported the retention of an existing grove of beautifully established Douglas fir trees and adhered to a strict municipal standard.
