This playground redesign is drawing together spirituality, nature, community and play on one cohesive site. Working hand in hand with a team of parents and engaging deeply with everyone from schoolchildren to the school priest, we are co-developing a plan that is practical—requiring minimal maintenance and allowing for phased implementation as fundraising allows—and connects students to the school’s greater spiritual mission through native plants, vegetable gardens and features that celebrate nature’s gifts.
